Proposal to Integrate the “AI Technocrat Program” for B. Tech Students

Greetings from the Institution of Civil Engineers Society (ICES)!

In alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the future vision of AICTE, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a transformative force in the field of technology. However, the current curriculum in many engineering colleges is not fully updated to meet the demands of rapidly evolving technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI). For engineering students, aligning their education with such emerging technologies is essential to enhance their industry readiness and employability.

To bridge this critical gap, the Institution of Civil Engineers Society (ICES)—(An Awarding Body Recognized by NCVET, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India) has partnered with IIT Ropar to launch the “AI Technocrat Program”. This initiative is specifically designed to support the career growth of engineering students.

The program offers a 600-hour, NSQF Level 5 certified Artificial Intelligence course, validated by IIT Ropar and tailored for all B.Tech students. Aligned with the AICTE internship credit policy, this course seamlessly integrates into existing academic structures, equipping students with cutting-edge AI skills that bridge the gap between academia and industry. Training will be delivered by Subject Matter Experts (SME) from IIT Ropar.
